Apple releases it's new device....the iPad

That's right, the iPad....they could have come up with any other name for this thing that would have sounded better, or more aggressive, but the iPad!?  What about iCanvas, or iSlate, or something like that.  If you haven't seen this thing, it looks like a giant iPod touch/iPhone.  It's awesome, but it's pretty much just a big version of them.

Here is a rundown of the features it has

-9.7" IPS Screen
-1.5 lbs
-0.5" thick (or thin)
-802.11n WiFi built-in
-3G in select models
-10 hours of battery life
-Flash Memory from 16GB-64GB
Here is a photo gallery of it. http://content.zdnet.com/2346-13615_22-387541.html?tag=col1;post-11721

Here is a small list of things I wish it had:
-Multitasking Capabilities, I want to be able to run two apps at once damnit!
-Flash!  C'mon Apple!  I understand that web developers/designers are steering away from Flash but still
-A hybrid OS that is a mix between iPhone OS and MAC OS X
-That would give this device the ability to run the 140,000 iPhone apps, or Photoshop CS4 if need be

There is my rundown on that, and I hope to begin blogging a lot more now that I remember I have this blog.

Snow

Wow what a weekend it turned out to be. The whole state of Ohio just got slammed with at least a foot of snow or more. Within a 36 hour period I plowed for 24.5. I am still achy and sore from sitting in the truck for such a long time. This was definitely worse than the Valentine's Day blizzard last year. After getting stuck in 5 different driveways I decided to not even try to plow them any more. Most of them weren't shoveled once and the people only wanted to give me like $20!!!! I actually had one guy say he only had $10. People are crazy these days let me tell you. I bet that if I didn't have to work at Circuit City from 10-8 on Sunday than I could have easily made another $500 in just side jobs and dreaded driveways. My truck is too big for driveways....here is a picture of me being stuck Little bit stuck

Here's an update for ya

Here is my update on life as of 3/1/2008. I am currently in my second week of a 6 week internship at a Web Development/Design company in Cleveland. The company is called Zorebo Interactive, and the place is awesome to work at. I have made some new friends there and knew one person that already worked there. I actually enjoy the drive into Cleveland to work in a career that I have been going to school for. I am really hoping to get a full-time job there after the internship, but even if i don't, I will be very happy about having the experience under my belt. I will continue this later
